Welcome to Bolivar First Christian Church. 2025 is now behind us and 2026 is wide open to new possibilities as we serve the community of Bolivar and Polk County. In addition, the ministries that we have for our own membership, we have several organizations that use our wonderful facilities to minister to people in our community.

On Monday’s at 5PM, Bolivar Area Soup Kitchen provides a free meal to anyone in our community who would like to eat. Not only are we helping combat hunger in our community, but we also afford many people in our community the opportunity to volunteer. Our volunteer base is very large and committed to this ministry.

Cub Scout Pack 128F meets in our basement on Monday evenings for their weekly activities. They also have periodic overnight sleepovers and an annual Pine Derby Competition. It is great to have a thriving scout program here at the church.

Ozark Technical College is in its 11th year at our church offering free adult education courses to people who are seeking to get their high school equivalency certificate. (HiSET) They have graduated many students during their tenure at the church. They meet on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Call the church office for contact information.

Sling-n-Stones, an addiction recovery program, meets on Wednesdays hosting an All-Addicts Anonymous program at 7:00PM. In addition, Sling-n-Stones church has dinner every Saturday night in our multi-purpose room at 6:00PM, followed by worship services at 7:00PM. Cindy Johnson co-pastor this ministry.

During the summer, Community Outreach Ministries, and the Polk County Health department pair up to provide free meals to children in our community. For about six weeks, they use our commercial grade kitchen to prepare the meals and then deliver them to the local Splash Park for distribution.

As you can see, we try to be good stewards of the facilities that God has given us by not letting it set empty from week to week.
