We believe service to others to be a fundamental tenet of Christianity. A short list of opportunities include:
The Christian Women’s Fellowship is a service-oriented organization. They provide financial support for many activities within the church and our area, and also contribute to our denomination’s mission fund. The CWF also participates in many service projects. One of the major events of the church year is the CWF Bazaar (their fundraiser) on the second Saturday in December. The CWF meets the third Tuesday of every month at 1:30 PM in the Parlor and at 5:30 PM in the library for those who cannot attend the mid-day meeting. These CWF meetings are open to all women members of the church.
The Christian Men’s Fellowship has just been reborn in our congregation. We are in the process of identifying those areas where we can best offer God’s gift of maleness. In addition to “just fellowship” there is talk of establishing a mentoring program, offering manual labor to those who have a need but the not the means, and working with male youth who do not have a father figure in the home. The CMF meets on the third Saturday of each month at 8:00 AM.
If you enjoy making a “joyful noise,” you are invited to join this most important ministry.
The choir practices Wednesday nights from 7:30 to 8:30.
